Residential Architects for Custom Homes, Additions, and Remodels in the South Bay and Peninsula
Prestin Ravid Architects is a residential architecture studio serving the South Bay and Peninsula.
We design residential architecture defined by natural light, proportion, and spatial clarity across custom homes, additions, and remodels.
We help define what is possible early, then design homes that are carefully resolved, highly livable, and meaningfully improve how people experience their homes.
From early feasibility through design, city approvals, and construction documents, we guide projects from concept through completion.

What We Do
Most projects fall into one of two paths:
Custom Homes & Rebuilds
Ground-up homes and complete residential rebuilds designed around your property, lifestyle, and long-term goals.
Additions, Renovations & Home Transformations
Projects that expand, rework, or reimagine an existing home through additions, renovations, and architectural redesign.
Each project becomes a fully designed home shaped around how you want to live.
We work across Palo Alto, Los Altos, Los Gatos, Saratoga, Sunnyvale, Menlo Park, Mountain View, and Redwood City, as well as Woodside, Portola Valley, and nearby communities in the wider Peninsula and South Bay.

The experience removed a lot of uncertainty for us, and we felt confident moving forward at every stage."

Clear Decisions.
Well-Designed Homes.
We define what is possible on your property before full design begins.
Do I remodel, add on, or rebuild?
What can I realistically build here?
How do zoning and permits shape my options?
What drives construction cost the most?
What creates the most long-term value in design?
Most homeowners underestimate how early decisions shape the final design, cost, and overall outcome.

What Determines What Can Be Built
Every site has limits that shape what is possible. Zoning sets scale. Structure sets what can change. Permits set the path. Cost sets what is realistic.
These all work together.
When they are understood early, the design process becomes clearer and more stable. If they are not, design tends to shift later in the process.
Most homeowners come to us trying to understand what is actually possible on their property.
These constraints are what shape strong design outcomes.
Our projects typically involve homeowners who are:
Planning a remodel, addition, or new home in the South Bay or Peninsula
Looking for a studio that combines design ambition with full process management
In the early stages and want to understand what is realistic before committing
Concerned about cost clarity and permit timelines
If you are uncertain about scope, budget, or direction, that is not a reason to wait. That is the starting point.
"Eyal at Prestin Ravid guided me through each step and made the process clear, structured, and approachable, which made the entire experience feel much less overwhelming."

How Projects Move Forward
Four phases. The first two happen before any design commitment is made.
01 Discovery Call
Site. Intent. Constraints.
A focused conversation about your property, goals, and direction. We review scope, constraints, and cost range.
02 Feasibility Study
Zoning. Structure. Permits. Cost.
A clear foundation for designing the home, including what is possible, what it may cost, and what direction makes sense.
03 Architectural Design and City Approvals
We design the home in detail, refine it, and move it through city approvals. We coordinate consultants and manage city feedback.
04 Construction Phase Support
We stay involved through construction to ensure the home is built as designed.
