Residential Architects for Custom Homes, Renovations, and Additions in the Bay Area
Prestin Ravid Architects is a residential architecture studio in the South Bay and Peninsula.
Most projects begin with a simple intent.
Remodel. Addition. New home.
Each path carries different implications for design, permitting, cost, and long-term value. Prestin Ravid Architects helps South Bay and Peninsula homeowners define the right direction before full design begins, then carries the project through architectural design, city approvals, and construction documentation.

“From the first meeting, we felt confident in both the design direction and what was realistically possible.”
— Sarah L, Residential Client“We interviewed several architects and Eyal was by far the best and easiest to work with. From the first meeting, we felt confident in our decision.”

What We Do
Most projects fall into one of two paths:
Custom Homes & Rebuilds
Ground-up homes and complete residential rebuilds designed around your property, lifestyle, and long-term goals.
Additions, Renovations & Home Transformations
Projects that improve, expand, or reimagine an existing home through additions, renovations, and architectural redesign. Not sure which path makes the most sense? That's often the first question we help homeowners answer.

"We purchased our home with the intention of adding a second story and spent a long time searching for the right architect. Working with Eyal at Prestin Ravid made the process much more manageable. The experience removed a lot of uncertainty for us, and we felt confident moving forward at every stage."

Clear Decisions.
Well-Designed Homes.
We define what is possible on your property before full design begins. The right questions to be asking:
Do I remodel, add on, or rebuild?
What can I realistically build here?
How do zoning and permits shape my options?
What drives construction cost the most?
Where does design create the most long-term value?

What Determines What Can Be Built
Every site carries constraints that determine what can be built.
Zoning defines scale. Structure defines what can change. Permitting defines the path forward. Cost defines what remains viable.
These conditions interact continuously. They determine direction.
Projects lose clarity when early assumptions do not align with site reality. Additions lose integration. Rebuilds lose direction. Design shifts late in the process.
When constraints are established early, the architecture remains consistent through construction. Nothing is forced in late. Nothing becomes a compromise. Good design is the outcome. It depends on the quality of the decisions made first.
Our projects typically involve homeowners who are:
Planning a remodel, addition, or new home in the South Bay or Peninsula
Looking for a studio that combines design ambition with full process management
In the early stages and want to understand what is realistic before committing
Concerned about cost clarity and permit timelines
If you are uncertain about scope, budget, or direction, that is not a reason to wait. That is the starting point.
"Eyal at Prestin Ravid guided me through each step and made the process clear, structured, and approachable, which made the entire experience feel much less overwhelming."

How Projects Move Forward
Four phases. The first two happen before any design commitment is made.
01 Discovery Call | Site. Intent. Constraints. A conversation about your property, goals, and direction. We cover constraints, cost range, and what the process involves. No design fee. No obligation.
02 Feasibility Study | Zoning. Structure. Permits. Cost. A site and zoning analysis defining what is achievable: scope, cost range, permit timeline, and constraints in writing. Most clients describe this as the clearest picture they have had of any home project.
03 Architectural Design and City Approvals Design within established constraints. Design is developed and refined before anything is documented for permit. We coordinate consultants, manage city approvals, and respond to corrections. You review at key milestones.
04 Construction Phase Support Alignment maintained through build. We remain involved through the build. Site visits, clarifications, and contractor coordination so what gets built matches what was designed.
