Residential Architects for Custom Homes, Additions, and Remodels in the South Bay and Peninsula
Prestin Ravid Architects is a residential architecture studio based in the South Bay and Peninsula.
We help homeowners move from uncertainty to clarity about what is possible, what it will cost, and how to proceed.
Architect-led design focused on strong design outcomes, grounded in feasibility and clear cost understanding.
We design, document, and guide projects through approvals and construction.
Homes shaped by proportion, light, and spatial clarity.
“From the first meeting, we felt confident in both the design direction and what was realistically possible.”

What We Do
Most projects fall into one of two paths:
Custom Homes & Rebuilds
Ground-up homes and complete residential rebuilds designed around your property, lifestyle, and long-term goals.
Additions, Renovations & Home Transformations
Projects that expand, rework, or reimagine an existing home through additions, renovations, and architectural redesign.
Each project becomes a fully designed home shaped around how you want to live.
We design residential projects across the South Bay and Peninsula, with projects throughout Palo Alto, Los Gatos, Saratoga, and surrounding communities.

The experience removed a lot of uncertainty for us, and we felt confident moving forward at every stage."

Clear Decisions.
Well-Designed Homes.
We define what is possible on your property before full design begins.
Do I remodel, add on, or rebuild?
What can I realistically build here?
How do zoning and permits shape my options?
What drives construction cost the most?
What creates the most long-term value in design?
These questions are part of shaping direction, not delaying it.

What Determines What Can Be Built
Every site has limits that shape what is possible. Zoning sets scale. Structure sets what can change. Permits set the path. Cost sets what is realistic.
These all work together. When understood early, they directly inform design decisions.
If they are not, design tends to shift later in the process. Most homeowners come to us trying to understand what is actually possible on their property.
We translate those constraints into clear architectural direction.
Our projects typically involve homeowners who are:
Planning a remodel, addition, or new home in the South Bay or Peninsula
Looking for a studio that combines design ambition with full process management
In the early stages and want to understand what is realistic before committing
Concerned about cost clarity and permit timelines
If you are uncertain about scope, budget, or direction, that is not a reason to wait. That is the starting point.
"Eyal at Prestin Ravid guided me through each step and made the process clear, structured, and approachable, which made the entire experience feel much less overwhelming."
Los Altos, CA | Residential ClientThe Four Phases of a Project
Four phases from first conversation to a fully designed and completed project.
Most homeowners come to us because they’re unsure what is realistically possible, what it will cost, and who they should involve first. This process is designed to remove that uncertainty before significant time or design investment is made.
01: Discovery Call
Site. Intent. Constraints.
A focused conversation about your property, goals, and direction.
We review scope, early constraints, and general cost range to understand whether the project is a good fit for deeper evaluation.
02: Feasibility Study
Zoning. Structure. Permits. Cost.
A structured review of what your property can realistically support before design begins.
We define feasibility, scope direction, and a grounded cost range based on zoning, structure, and permitting conditions.
03: Architectural Design & City Approvals
Design. Refinement. Documentation. Approval.
We develop the design in detail and refine it through structured milestones until it is ready for permitting and construction.
We coordinate consultants and manage city review feedback throughout the process.
04: Construction Phase Support
Continuity during construction.
We remain involved during construction to support interpretation of drawings and ensure the built project reflects the approved design intent.
