Architect-Led Custom Homes, Additions & Renovations.
Clear Process. Better Decisions.
Most projects begin with a simple question: do I tear down and rebuild, renovate, or expand? Figuring out the right direction is the first thing we do together.
Prestin Ravid Architects is a residential studio focused on strong design grounded in feasibility and clear cost direction from the start. Based in the South Bay and Peninsula. Custom homes, additions, and remodels where design ambition meets real constraints.
From there we take the project through full architectural design, permitting, and construction. Concept to completion, with one team throughout. About
Homes shaped by proportion, light, and spatial clarity.
“From the first meeting, we felt confident in both the design direction and what was realistically possible.”
— Sarah L, Residential Client“We interviewed several architects and Eyal was by far the best and easiest to work with. From the first meeting, we felt confident in our decision.”

What We Do
Most projects fall into one of two paths:
Custom Homes & Rebuilds
Ground-up homes and complete residential rebuilds designed around your property, lifestyle, and long-term goals.
Additions, Renovations & Home Transformations
Projects that expand, rework, or reimagine an existing home through additions, renovations, and architectural redesign. Each project becomes a fully designed home shaped around how you want to live.
We design residential projects across the South Bay and Peninsula, with projects throughout Palo Alto, Los Gatos, Saratoga, and surrounding communities. residential architecture services
Eyal Ravid
Licensed Architect, CaliforniaEvery project is led by Eyal Ravid and supported by a coordinated team of architects, consultants, and technical specialists. Throughout the project, he provides continuous architectural direction and oversight from feasibility through design, permitting, and construction.
"We purchased our home with the intention of adding a second story and spent a long time searching for the right architect. Working with Eyal at Prestin Ravid made the process much more manageable. The experience removed a lot of uncertainty for us, and we felt confident moving forward at every stage."
Caitlin N | Residential ClientThe Four Phases of a Project
This process brings clarity before major design decisions are made.
01: Discovery Call
Site. Intent. Constraints.
A focused conversation about your property, goals, and direction.
We review scope, early constraints, and general cost direction.
02: Feasibility Study
Zoning. Structure. Permits. Cost.
A structured review of what your property can realistically support. We define scope direction and a grounded cost range based on zoning, structure, and site conditions.
03: Architectural Design & City Approvals
Design. Refinement. Documentation. Approval.
We develop the design through structured milestones. We manage city review and coordinate consultants through permitting.
04: Construction Phase Support
Continuity during construction.
We remain involved to support interpretation of drawings and ensure the built project reflects the approved design.
Currently In Design - Palo Alto Complete Renovation and Second Story Addition
Single-story ranch in Palo Alto. The clients wanted a complete transformation without walking away from a solid foundation - so we kept the existing first-floor structure and built up from there. Full interior renovation, new second story, and a layout redesigned from the ground up. The result is a moody, sophisticated modern home built around how the client actually lives.
The project has completed design development and is now moving into city approvals and preconstruction in Palo Alto. One of the more deliberate review processes in Santa Clara County.

What Determines What Can Be Built
Every site is shaped by a combination of zoning, structure, permitting, and cost constraints. When understood early, these conditions reduce late-stage redesign and inform stronger design decisions.
We translate these conditions into clear architectural direction so decisions feel grounded, not assumed.
Our projects typically involve homeowners who are:
Planning a remodel, addition, or new home in the South Bay or Peninsula
Looking for a studio that combines design ambition with structured process clarity
Concerned about cost direction and timeline clarity
If you are unsure about scope or direction, that is exactly where the process is designed to begin.
Common questions before the first conversation
Do I remodel, add on, or rebuild?
What can I realistically build here?
How do zoning and permits shape what’s possible?
What drives construction cost the most?
What creates the most long-term value in design?
These questions define the direction of the entire project.
